WOW. Let me repeat that. WOW!!!!! Every now and then I take a look at the old google.com website and do a few searches to see where our website marketing company shows up. In the past we have experienced being in the top 10 for a few different keywords. But if you take a gander at the below, I think you will see that we are doing better than ever!

So THAT explains why we have been doing so well over the past year. Let's put it this way, anyone can have a great looking website. Anyone can have a website that functions well. But NOT everyone can be at the top of google for specific keywords. You have to do the research, analyze what is going on in your industry, implement the right procedures and reel in the rewards. 2005 has been a great year for us. If you are looking ahead to 2006, you need to start NOW! As with everything, website marketing takes time. It takes time to research, it takes time to implement and it takes time for google to recognize you. Then after you are recognized, you need to climb the ladder. You are not going to make it to the top spot in a month or 2. But with taking the proper steps, you can always rise higher.

Here at SalemGlobal, we take pride in what we do for our clients. They appreciate what we do for them but bottomline is that they expect results. Bottomline is, are we driving people and traffic to their website? And once they are at the website, are they buying the products? (As in the case of ecommerce.) And/or are they filling out the contact forms. Are potential clients contacting them and asking for proposals. Is their website getting them in the game?

At the end of the year, our clients do analysis regarding where they spend their marketing dollars. If we can show them ROI, they stay with us. If we show them a HIGH ROI (return on investment), we not only get re-hired, we get a larger budget, make more money and they tell their family, friends and colleagues about us. Thus making us more money.

Based in Holyoke, MA, we have been working over phone and email to get their hyundai automotive site ranked higher in the major search engines and listed with all of the major directories. I just got my new ecommerce magazine in the mail. This is the type of small town industry magazine that someone had the brilliant idea of putting together. It gives great tips on ecommerce, SEO and general website usability. They profile a website of the month and have really good pointers that are useful for anyone doing business on the web. This months main feature is about Keyword Sleuthing - locating the right keywords to buy and optimize for your business and website.

Steve Case at AOL just resigned from Time Warner

Well, I can't say I am not jealous. Steve Case and I have 1 thing in common. We both use the Internet. Aside from that, he is a multimillionaire, a successful business person, sold his company to Time Warner. Got onto their board and has shares worth 0.3%. Not bad for the old domino pizza guy.

As for SalemGlobal and website marketing here in NYC, we are back in action on this fine Halloween. Lots of meetings this week, our website marketing seminar series was picked up by Crains NY events, and I am hoping Bernardo Joselevich of famed Bernardo's List sends out news of my seminar and workshop today.

As for communications here at SG, I finally finally finally upgraded my PDA and cellphone. I am now the proud owner of a TREO 650. Now I can really be an Internet road warrior.

Well, its finally here. The one you have been waiting for. The official SalemGlobal Internet Website Marketing Internet Consulting and Ecommerce Solution blog. I know. You have been waiting for years. Why now? Why did it take so long? Why not yesterday? Why not tomorrow? Why today?

Ok Ok. Let me answer by saying this. I have been busy. I mean, building websites and then marketing takes time. You have to analyze your current website, then do some research on the industry involved, then you have to come up with a gameplan, implement it, review, approve, publish and well, you know. WORK!
